Bring Me A Bottle Of Budget Beer, Buddy
DISCOUNT RETAILER DOLLAR GENERAL HAS CONFIRMED that they are experimenting with selling beer in their stores.
The well-known chain of over 1,000 stores for the budget-minded has been trying out beer sales in selected locations around the country to see how well it is received.

Crowds are gathering already, waiting
for the selected stores to open.
Onenewsnow.com reports:
Dollar General spokesperson Tawn Earnest confirmed there was currently experimentation with the sale of beer products at regional stores, but did not specify stores or confirm the hours change. However, she assures that the retailer is following all legal requirements in the sale of beer and says no final decision has been made as to whether it will stay.
“A decision hasn’t yet been made on whether to make beer products available permanently,” Earnest explains. “A decision will be made based, in part, by the reaction we get from customers.”
Meanwhile, as a public service, Firegeezer is happy to provide this informative video that shows you how to open a beer bottle with a dollar bill. You never know when you’ll be caught out without your Swiss Army knife and no church key around.

I remember back in the 80s or even early 70s when the generic craze was the rage, supermarkets had aisles with all true ‘generic’ products, and they all had either yellow or white packaging with a black text label that simply stated what was in the package. ‘Noodles’, ‘Green Beans’, ‘Toilet Paper’, and yes… they had ‘Beer’. I distinctly remember my parents buying these six packs of white cans that had black lettering simply stating “BEER”. I never asked them if it was any good.
