Wonder why the IAFF is moving FirePAC?

IAFF Freezes Federal FIREPAC Contributions

Amendment submitted by Florida Congressman Cliff Stearns (Republican) mandates all the World Trade Center responders be compared to the database of suspected terrorists before receiving benefits from the James L. Zadroga 9/11 Health & Compensation Act.

NO other federal program requires such scrutiny.

As Jon Stewart says – a final kick in the nuts.

But wait, there is more. California Congressman Henry Waxman (Democrat), chair of the committee, agreed that it was a good idea.

Another case of how far disconnected to Real Daily life members of Congress are.

Surprisingly, Henry Waxman, who seems to have better Ethics than some of his cohorts is also way off base.

The ill workers deserve this money to pay their bill no matter what. The Earned It! by injuring their health. Compared to the Defense Budget the measly $5 Billion Dollars in this under funded
program is not enough and looking at things from the Prism of the current Anti Labor Movement in some States and Congress, this seems reflected by the “Scrooge” attitude towards these workers.

At last count some 350 plus workers have died of Ground Zero related cancers and reated diseases.
