Another Fire Pit & Gasoline Ka-Boom

Job Security in the Philly Suburbs

THREE PEOPLE WERE SERIOUSLY INJURED, one critically Friday night when a backyard, free-standing "fire pit" tipped over around 11 pm.  The errant fire then ignited the wandering vapors from an open gasoline can which in turn exploded and put an end to the party.

The accident occurred in Upper Moreland, Montgomery County, Pennsylvania.  Two of the victims were taken by ambulance to the hospital and a third was flown by helicopter to the Temple University Hospital in Philadelphia.

The investigators working the case say that the fire also caused some damage to the house.
