Stop Sign-Running Ambulance Destroys Car

Not On Emergency Call

A FORT MYERS, FLORIDA, AMBULANCE passed through a stop sign Tuesday evening and crashed into the side of an automobile.  The ambulance was carrying a patient, but did not have any emergency lights or siren activated.

Witnesses told police that the ambulance rolled into the intersection without stopping first, then broadsided the passenger car.

Six people were transported, four from the car, the ambulance driver and the patient.  Police say that all six had serious injuries.
