Row House Fire Runs The Block in Allentown, Pennsylvania

At Least Seven Homes Damaged

AN EARLY MORNING FIRE IN ALLENTOWN, Pennsylvania, Sunday got up into the roof of a 3-story row house and then started running the block catching several other homes on fire.


The blaze began around 3 am and was quickly upgraded to three alarms as the first-in companies found fire showing in the roof of the house of origin.


The fire's progress was stopped at the 7th house, but an 8th was affected by the smoke.  At least 14 residents were displaced by the fire which was marked under control at 7 am.
