The Forest Volunteer Fire Department pumper had six firefighters on board, all wearing their seat belts.

According to the Virginia State Police, the engine had drifted off the road onto the right shoulder and the driver then overcorrected.  The pumper then veered across both traffic lanes and struck a fence where it then rolled over a full 360º and came to rest in a restaurant parking lot.

All six firefighters were transported and treated for minor injuries before being released later in the morning.

The 8-yr.-old fire engine was totaled in the wreck.

    Thanks!

Glad they had their seat belts on. Now they can take the seat belt pledge and set an example and send a message.
